VATE - Jeannine Trévidic

She was born in Lisbon in 1981. She has a degree in Theatre Studies by the University of Évora, where she had as teachers, Christine Zurbach, José Alberto Ferreira, Luís Varela, Luís Castro and Carlos Pessoa. In Lisbon she attended the course of Actors Training of the Instituto de Artes do Espectáculo (1999-2000) and classes of Contemporary Dance and Workshops in the C.E.M., having as teachers Peter Micheal Dietz, Sofia Neuparth and Amélia Bentes. In 2004 she was a collaborator in KARNART C.P.O.A.A for Production and Theatre Archive. From 2005 to 2008 she joined the creating team of the Quarta Parede – Performing Arts Association of Covilhã, where she participated in the productions Stracciatella (performance/installation), Lar Doce Lar (Objects Theatre) and Os fios que a lã tece (objects theatre/installation) as a creator and performer, and also in such Object’s theatre awareness workshops as Criaturas, Teatro de Objectos, Objecto Mágico, as a guidance counsellor. From 2006 till 2008 she was a monitor of the Grupo de Teatro and Tempos Ocupados of the Escolinha do Zéthoven – a Cultural Association in the Beira Interior region. Since 2008 she coordinates VATe – ACTA’s Education Service, participating also as an actress and director.
