There’s a great commotion on the bus.
D. Roberto goes to the barber on his wedding day.
After a great mess, the beard and the hair cut, and the bill handed, D. Roberto says he’s not paying. They argue and in the middle of the fight D. Roberto eventually kills the barber.
After the funeral, where even the police appear, D. Roberto is condemned to the gallows from which he escapes through lies and trickery.
Then he takes the bus to see Rosa.
However, death does not forgive him and wants to take him personally. So then the confrontation takes place. There’s a huge uproar.
When the dust settles someone yells "Roberto killed death! Roberto killed death!"

‘The Theatre Company of the Algarve (ACTA) presents, on a bus transformed in a theatre room, one of the most ancient forms of scenic art – the Roberto’s Puppet Theatre. Luís Vicente is responsible for the production of this show with the Portuguese glove puppet technique, and with the research and creation by Jorge Soares. Puppetry by Jorge Soares and Luísa Silva, construction of the puppets by Jorge Silva, props and hut by Carla Dias and Luísa Silva, technics by Carla Dias. “D. Roberto Apanha o Autocarro”, is an oral narrative that tells of the adventures of D. Roberto, unleashed by a simple visit to the barber on his wedding day.
