Inspired by the last play written by English playwright William Shakespeare, the show ‘The Tempest’ tells the story of the Duke Prospero who, after having been expelled from his kingdom, and launched at sea with his daughter in a boat without sail or mast, comes to an island where he decides to live and rule.
What is this island where Prospero and Miranda live?
All the "islands" where we take refuge to think, judge, dispute, or establish order.
How many "tempests" has Man raised, playing the game of power? At what cost?
Apparently everything is solved. Prospero may appear admirable and gracious, or as despotic, vindictive and manipulative.
One thing is certain, Prospero is a wise man and armed with a certain magic. He can always resort to his ‘magic’ to make us dream. Theater still has that power!
